Meethil on location shooting Hou De Jarasa Ushir

Me (in blue jacket) with Canon 5D MarkII and Canon 70-200mm f2.8 L IS lens mounted on a rig carrying a monitor, sitting on a fluid head .  Left to right: Shikha Gaherwar (Fourth AD), Shakti Lathar(Lighting Assistant), Meethil Momaya(Associate DOP) and Wasim Maner(Writer,  Director and DOP

About six months ago, i disappeared. No, i did not die, as is evident from this message, but i did go offline. After a couple of months of absence, a few friends and acquaintances called to check my life status. Others i thank for conveniently allowed me to fall off their memory and saving me the irritation of having to answer “Where have you been??!!”

So i will answer that question once and for all. For two months, i was helping my dear friend Wasim Maner shoot his marathi feature film. Yes, you read that correct. I and Wasim (he is also the writer-director of the film) have shot a full length marathi feature film on a multi-camera setup comprising two Canon 5D Mark II DSLR and a range of Canon lenses from 15mm to 300mm.

If “How was the experience??!!” is the next question you want to ask, then i will answer that on Monday.
